STAND THE GROUND

Stand the Ground ha sido seleccionado como muestra de arte contemporáneo en el concurso StripArt 2016, en la categoría de fotografía. StripArt es una iniciativa que pretende agrupar el arte que se está gestando en la ciudad de Barcelona por parte de sus jóvenes, sea cual sea el medio que éstos utilicen para expresarse. El día 2 de julio se inaugura la exposición, y hasta el 15 del mismo mes, podréis visitarlo en el Centre Cívic de Guinardó junto a otras obras de todas las disciplinas artísticas. Cabe decir, que el proyecto fue revisado por Carla Van De Putterelaar el pasado mes de mayo.

Stand the Ground habla de la caída y el resurgimiento del ser. De la pérdida. Trata de establecer un diálogo entre el personaje y el entorno, otorgando la misma relevancia a persona y paisaje. La persona de expresa gesticulando, pero, es el paisaje de fondo el que nos habla de su mundo interior, un mundo emocional que está vivo, que es cambiante, y que habla por sí solo.

Stand the Ground has been selected as a representation of contemporary art for StripArt 2016. StripArt is an initivative whose goal is to gather the art that is being created in the city of Barcelona by its youngsters, whichever the way of expressing themselves is. The exhibition will be inaugurated on July 2nd and you will be able to visit the selected projects until the 15th, in Centre Cívic de Guinardó. Besides, the project was reviewed by Carla Van De Puttelaar in May2016.

Stand the Ground speaks about the loss, and how humans fall deep down and then surface proving their resilience. It stablishes a dialogue in between the character and the surrounding space, giving the same importance to both human and landscape. The person expresses himself gesticulating, but, it's the background landscape the one that speaks about his inner world, and emotional world that is alive, that is constantly changing, and that speaks by itself.

Nature landscape project with the lines of a forest as main characters. No human presence, no colour. Just verticality and solitude.

STRANGER IN THE LIGHT

Night landscape photography project about being present in the dark. A shadow strolls around the Old Town, a timeless trip throught a neighborhood that once was full of prostitutes, drug-addicts and sailors from the Mediterranean Sea. A night life that is still alive somehow in every alley as we walk throught them.
